About Tarot Reading

Tarot is a self-reflection tool with over 600 years of history. Each of the 78 cards symbolizes a scene of life, and the cards drawn at random meet the seeker's mind to reflect facets we usually do not see. The essence of tarot is not to predict the future but to mirror the flow of the present moment.

This service uses the full 78-card Rider–Waite–Smith deck of 1909 (illustrations by Pamela Colman Smith, public domain). Each card is randomly assigned upright or reversed with 50% probability. There is no bias toward 'good' cards — shadow cards such as Tower, Death, Devil, and Moon appear honestly across every reading type.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this site really free? Do I need to sign up?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up required. Anyone can use it without limits. Operating costs are funded by ads (AdSense); we never ask users for payment or subscriptions.

Who creates the interpretations, and how?

A self-hosted large language model (LLM) generates the interpretation from a fixed system prompt. The 14 types each have a tone tuned to their topic, and the system is designed to deliver 'flow of the present and actionable insight' — never deterministic prophecy. Methodology →

Is a reversed card a bad omen?

No. A reversed card signals the 'shadow to face' that the card points to — never a verdict of fate. The healthy reading is to acknowledge what is stuck or to step back from attachment. Upright vs Reversed reading

May I ask the same question repeatedly?

It's allowed but not recommended. Sit with the message for a while before drawing again — repeating the same question quickly usually means you're looking for the answer you want.

Can I base important decisions on this site's results?

No. This service is only an entertainment and self-reflection tool. Never use it as the basis for medical, legal, financial, or mental-health decisions. Full disclaimer →
